Day 3: Strawberry Shortcake

I was really looking forward to the strawberry shortcake recipe. It felt like a little bit of summer was peeking through the cold. Not that I don’t love the snow and the cold - I so much do. But a little glimpse of summer is always nice.

This was a variation on the original baking powder biscuits recipe and honestly, there isn’t much to write about it. I had no helpers. It was just me in the kitchen with Joey McIntyre in the background, mixing up some shortcake.

Everyone liked it, especially Selena. I topped it off with homemade vanilla whipped cream and she used that to top just about everything she ate for the next couple days. (I feel like it was an excellent source of vitamin D.)
